この製品は、一般的なサーマルのように体にピッタリとするタイトなボディではなく、程よいフィット感の繊細なシルエット、首元にボリュームを持たせたデザインを取り入れ、カジュアルのテイストをプラスした街着として洗練されたファッショナブルでスタイリッシュなパーカーに再構築されています。
サーマルを使用したジップアップのパーカースタイルで、一般的なスウェットパーカーに比べて薄手で柔らかな生地ですので、春や秋にTシャツの上にライトアウターとして羽織ったり、冬のジャケットのインナーにも適した、幅広く、長い期間使い回せるアイテムになっています。
素材はコットン100%のサーマル生地(ワッフル生地)です。
お菓子のワッフルのような凸凹感があり起伏に富んだワッフルパターンは、より多くの空気を溜め込むため、保温性も高く、伸縮性にも富んだ素材です。
サーマルには様々な編み方のパターンがありますが、この製品には「アゼワッフル」という編み方が採用されています。
通常は30番手×30番手で編みたてるところを本製品の生地は30番手×20番手にされています。
そのため通常のサーマルより若干肉厚でボリューム感がありながらも軽く、しなやかな風合いに仕上げられ着心地の良さが追及されています。
袖はラグランスリーブです。
肩に縫い目が入る「セットインスリーブ」に対して、襟ぐりから袖下に斜めに縫い目が入った袖で、腕を動かしやすいとされています。
フロントはフルジップアップ仕様で、ジッパーにはブラックコーティングのUNIVERSAL(ユニバーサル社製)ファスナーが使用されています。
フロントジッパーはダブルファスナージッパー(逆開)仕様で上下から開閉可能になっています。
下部分からも開くことで、自電車やバイク等のライディングや、車のドライブの際の利便性が考慮されています。
また、フロントジッパーはフード途中部分まで付いていて、高い位置までジッパーを閉めるこができ、首元や顎を冷たい風から守ることができる仕様になっています。
袖口と裾はダブルレイヤー(二重)リブ生地で切り替えられています。
フードは生地を2枚使用して適度なボリュームがあります。
ウエストにはD型のパッチハンドウォーマーポケットが設けられています。
物を入れるポケット的な役割よりは、デザイン的なアクセントにされています。
首裏には補強用のあて布が縫いつけられ、ネック部分が伸びるのを防ぐようにしています。
右袖口には桃太郎ジーンズの布帛製のピスネーム(飾りネームタグ)が縫い付けられ、左袖には桃太郎ジーンズのアイコンでもある白い二本線の出陣ペイントがほどこされ、デザインのアクセントにされています。
ライトアウターとして、また、アウターのインナーとして使い勝手の良いフルジップパーカーです。
